2022 marks 10 Years of Radio Music Society

What began as a small group of students 10 years ago, has grown into a powerhouse music group known all across Grounds. As an alumnus, you have been a pivotal part of the group’s success and we’d like to cordially invite you to the very first RMS REUNION happening this Fall in Charlottesville on October 14th, 2022 - October 16, 2022.

The Reunion begins Friday afternoon and will conclude Sunday afternoon.

Activities with old friends and other alumni

Catch up with your old quartets, meet other alumni from different classes, and partake in various celebration festivities.

Reunion Dinner

Saturday October 15th will be a catered dinner by DOMA Korean Kitchen. We’ll also all gather at a scenic venue in Afton, VA with live music (RMS, duh), pass around old stories, and of course give teary eyed speeches.

Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites in Downtown Charlottesville. $269/night. Reservations ends September 14th.
There are other options in the area so no pressure to book with this hotel.

Other Details

  • Current RMS Members and all alumni are invited!

    The founding group members, and members from 2017 through 2022 have all said they’re in and excited to be attending. Come join us!

  • $50 for alumni.

    This cost is for the Saturday Reunion Dinner costs: catered dinner and drinks plus venue equipment like long tables, chairs, and lighting.

    Additionally, there will be a reunion shirt that can be purchased separately for $15.

    Payment will be collected when you arrive.

  • Recent Grads - If you’re a recent alum and would like to stay with a current student, RMS is happy to connect you with some members for you to stay with.

    Older Alumni - feel free to book a hotel stay or AirBnB for that weekend in or around Charlottesville. If we can secure enough RSVPs in the next few weeks, we might be able to secure a hotel block, but we cannot guarantee it.

  • Of course. Just add them to your RSVP so we know to count them for the headcount specifically for dinner.

    We will add a $25 cover for their spot at the reunion dinner.

  • Wouldn’t be RMS without one. Look cute.

  • Up to you.

    There have been requests that alumni perform so…maybe practice a little just in case! If you want to bring your instrument go ahead. But no need if you’re comfortable using someone else’s.
